Stintino is a coastal town (municipality) in the Province of Sassari in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 200 km northwest of Cagliari and about 35 km northwest of Sassari. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1.194 and an area of 58.4 km ².

The main tourist attraction is the beach of La Pelosa, located in the far north-west coast of Sardinia, overlooking the Golfo dell'Asinara, is marked by a fine white sand and turquoise-blue sea from the seabed very low. Immediately facing a second smaller beach called La Pelosetta is the island within walking distance of the Aragonese tower, built in 1578 and always called Torre de La Pelosa and the Isle of Piana, belonging to the municipality of Porto Torres, who hosts a Spanish tower 18 meters high tower, built in the sixteenth century and restored in 1931. Isola Piana was formerly used as pasture due to transhumance carried out on fishing boats, belonged to the family and Berlinguer was ceded to the state on the condition that it was preserved in its natural state. Other beaches on the east coast are those of Le Saline, Il Gabbiano, L'Ancora, Ezzi Mannu, Pazzon and Punta Negra.
At about 3 km from the pond is Casaraccio, and about 15 kilometers in the area of the marsh in Sassari Pilo, both are important for bird breeding stock.
