The area

A typical fishermen's village located between a narrow inlet, called Porto Minore orStintineddu, and a long fiord (once a small valley) called Porto Mannu, now hosting the new port that is being completed. In the surrounding area, the isolated and marvellous Cape Falcone, in front of the Pelosa beach, with a big hotel endowed with docks and private berths.
The Beaches
The most beautiful beach in the world - repeat the well travelled visitors who have had the possibility to admire the beach La Pelosa. And they've got a point there. Swimming in its crystal clear waters is always a special feeling also for the local inhabitants who are accustomed to the beauties of nature.However, the thousand shades of blue are not only a characteristic of Pelosa; they can also be found along all the coastline of Stintino and along the winding profiles of the coast of the Natural Park of Asinara island. You can embark from the port of Stintino and visit Asinara by plunging in a marvellous paradise full of extraordinary flora and fauna. The visits to the island are fixed by the Park authority.
The harbours
There are two harbours at Stintino, Porto Nuovo and Porto Vecchio. Both are able to host all kinds of boats and provide the services connected to sailing. Some piers host the boats equipped for travelling tourist excursions and for the Asinara island.
