The Hotel Portoconte
directly overlooks the sea and is located in the gorgeous bay of Porto Conte,
only 12 Km away from Alghero.
These part of Sardinia are famous all over
Europe. The creek of Porto Conte that you can reach passing by the wonderful
prehistorical Nuraghe of Palmavera is characterized by the rockly high
shores that end with the stunning Capo Caccia, near the Island of
Foradada and Neptune's Caves.
The
Hotel Portoconte directly overlooks the sea and is located in the
gorgeous bay of Porto Conte, only 12 Km away from Alghero (Sardinia). The
complex was designed by the architect Simon Mossa (who designed the Escala
del Cabirol which leads to the Neptune's Caves) and reminds of the catalan
style with its unique features, thus perfectly fitting into of this natural
park.
The hotel comprises
of 143 rooms, including 8 Junior suite and 16 Family
rooms. All en suite rooms are with terrace or balcony, air
conditioning, satellitre Tv, direct-telephone and
hairdryer
Several
proposal are made by our restaurant's chef, starting from the rich
breakfast's buffet to those menus where special dishes both catalan
and sardinian have the main role. Daily productions of pastries and
cakes by our Chef Patissier complete our offer in the catering.
Restaurant service for lunch and dinner is italian style with all
courses choosen from a daily-changed carte presented by our
maitres d'hotel and served by our chefs de rang.
From the second half of June 2000 will be working the new food point
at the Hotel's Bar where it will be possible to have a light lunch
with fantasy pasta, colourful salads, tasty sandwiches and snacks,
wonderful pastries and cakes.
All common rooms, the restaurant, the bar,
Internet point and the bar lounge, the TV lounge and the
boutique are air-conditioned. The hotel also has 2 open-air
swimming pools (1 for children), 2 tennis court with lighting, a minigolf
course, a bowls court, a playground, a landingstage for pleasure crafts,
meeting Room.
As the hotel is just by the sea main
activities are connected to water sports such as snorkeling, diving,
canoing. One can also enjoy going by mountain bike or trekking and visit the
surrounds of this enchanted bay. The hotel organize directly excursions by
sea and by land, departing directly from the hotel and of course night
entertainment for all (disco, cabaret).
Rooms are available by 5.30 pm
on day of arrival and should be vacated by 09.30 am on day
of departure.
